Jamie is in grade five. She still plays with Lego, loves David Attenborough and shows no signs of growing up, much to the dismay of her older sister Alex, who is in year seven and knows that unless Jamie becomes normalshe is never going to survive in high school.
So Alex decides to educate Jamie. She takes her shopping, makes her spend money on skin-care, deodorant, hair-care and make-up, teaches her what to eat (McDonalds notfish ball soup) and takes her to the movies with Alex’s cool friend Kara.
But Jamie is not so happy with the process and after an argument with Alex in the cinema, she disappears, leaving Alex frantic with worry – and full of remorse.
