Books… on the road
On The Road Books is also a mobile bookshop.
We often appear at markets, parks, beaches and other spots around Melbourne and Victoria.
Our pop-up shop operates out of a custom-built trailer, so all we need is a 3m x 3m space that is accessible by car. We can set up in 30 minutes, and operate entirely independently with zero waste.
We have been known to frequent locations from Eltham to Wye River, St Andrews to Fitzroy, and an annual pilgrimage to the Clunes Booktown Festival.
We think our little bookshop is the perfect accompaniment to cafes, community centres, beachfronts, parks and other places where people think ‘oh, I wish I’d brought a book with me to sit and enjoy this lovely space’.
